This page is the reference implementation of the settings skill it documents.
Layering. The nav rail sits one rung below the content pane; cards inside the pane are inset wells that go darker still. Only the toast floats, and it is the only thing with a shadow.
One neutral, four alphas. Every hover, selected state, border, and tinted
button is --mod at 8/12/16/20%. Switch the theme above and nothing needed a second rule.
Rules are the boundary. Writes go to
POST /api/v1/table/user_settings/edit/:id and are checked against
auth.uid == user_id in the database, not in this page.
